Who Am I?

I’m Brian Piersel, and I live in Minnesota with my wife and two children. I’m an electrical engineer at a major manufacturer of industrial control equipment. I enjoy gardening, and I have a vegetable garden as well as many fruit trees and bushes. I also enjoy cooking, and I am restoring a Hammond M-3 tonewheel organ in my spare time.

Why Am I Doing This?

The main reason is that I enjoy wine.

I also have some other goals:

• I’d like to share my experiences with others and discuss wine.
• Add to the wine reviews available online. There are so many wines available for purchase, and the professional reviewers can’t possibly review more than a small percentage of them. Even with all of the wine bloggers on the internet, there are still lots of wines that don’t get any reviews.
• I hope to meet some other people who enjoy wine. I’ve already met several people on Twitter and Google+.

What kind of wine do I like?

I like many different types of wine, but if I had to pick a favorite, I’d go with a dry, fruity red. I also really like German Riesling. For a special treat, I’ll get a bottle of Porto.
